Norfolk born and bred, I live in the lovely market town of Wymondham with my partner Peter and my much loved dachshunds, who are often the source of inspiration for my sculptures.

I started creating sculptures of Dachshunds and wildlife in bronze resin during the late 1990's. With no formal training I spent many hours sourcing information on the how's and why's of constructing and casting my work and after much trial and error I started to produce a small range of Bronze resin Dachshund models which proved to be very popular amongst the fanciers at the dog shows where I showed my own dogs and judged.

In 2010 I thought I would try ceramic sculpture. I enrolled in a class to learn about glazes, engobes, slips, oxides etc, bought myself a second hand kiln and off I went in a new direction.

I have always been passionate about animals and take great pleasure in just watching them. I find my inspiration in the animals that share our world and often our homes. I attempt to capture the character of the subject in particular those aspects that I find facinating, touching and amusing. The little fat bottom of the Hippo and the look of absolute pleasure on the face of Duchess, the rolling horse (below), always makes people smile.
